I posted a thread to stop the rattle at the glovebox. All you need to do (for me) was to to remove hte glovebox, remove the piston, and wrap electrical tape around the two clips that hold the piston ins place. I've found that it stops the glovebox rattle completely - though now I've noticed more ra...

Passenger side glove box area, and somewhere near/behind the stereo. The creek at the back is a new one but with only 3000kms on the car I wasn't expecting that new feature... The rear creek I suspect to be the swaybar or spring as its only when the chassis twists when driving up onto driveways or ...

I've been skimming across the replies on here. Justcars who insures anyone and anything, will cover any mods etc BUT have it written in their policy if a car is not legally roadworthy your insurance is void. Explained this to a mate who had 18's on a car that had 15" wheels from factory. He ran...

Rattles!

My BMW was a 94 model and didn't have a single rattle, yet the Lancer is just over a month old and it has several. As does my mates lancer which is a year old. Im going to post up solutions to rattle and try to find if other members have rattles from the same place. If anyone has already fixed these...

Yeah, I had my stereo installed when i had my stock headunit. My amp had a low level converter built into the amp so i could just tap into the wires from the speakers and connect them to my amp :) Yeah this has the same thing. Its 100WRMS 8" sub that will be providing a small amount of bass ha...

Haha spunky love that answer, there is a possibility that could happen :P With them rejecting a warranty claim will they have to actually prove it was the amp/sub that caused it? or do they just say you have an aftermarket stereo cya later Im not worried about the stereo so much because I can replac...

Warranty Issues With Additional Audio Components

Im looking into having an active subwoofer installed either under the seat or hidden in the boot. Most likely an 8" Fusion which at a respectable 100wrms should be more than enough. Anyway, I will be purchasing it and having it installed by a very well known audio company who have done my previ...

Optima are good however a more cost effective battery would be one from a marine shop.

Go somewhere that sells boat batteries, the car audio guys used to buy from there for half the price of an optima.
