I cannot advise you on warranty, but as far as mods go, a 200 cell CAT is a very good start, followed by a Ralliart intake snorkle. There is a thread hearabouts on a trick intake mod to the radiator top cover, where the intake air is drawn into the intake snorkle - this also is good value. Other tha...

Anything that gets some decent weight out of the Lancer is a good thing - they really DO go harder when lighter.

While I did a bunch of ROM testing on my evo and worked out some of the more obscure thermo fan settings and fuel pump settings.
Stuff thats been bugging me for years.

Dont know about the hardware, but I think it would be advisable to flash an equivalent MT rom into the ECU so you dont get stuck with stupid stuff like a 6200 rpm limiter.

Replacing the super heavy boot and hood with evoX aluminium parts would be a definite performance plus, and you get better cooling.

I would like to see one with a set of Tomie or Camtec 270 cams and run on e85, that would be sweet!

Zaphod, those are the best mods, and really the only mods you should bother to make, unless going nutso. These cars do respond VERY well to a 200 cell CAT and exhaust. The stock headers are ok so not a huge gain by upgrading them. The Ralliart intake snorkle is a good mod, with a good panel filter, ...

For bigger top end power gains you would need to either run e85 and/or add a set of decent cams.

Either of those are doable.

Or, go mad like Ben and add a turbo - that wakes them up all right!
