Or you could strip it back off, clean it with isopropyl. Sand it back, clean it again and paint it like I did.

Black would be especially easy.

Prime with plastic adhesion promotor, paint, gloss.

Ooh that's cool!! I have been wanting to upgrade the grip on my steering wheel but not wanting to spend big bucks or have inferior finish. Hand sewing is definitely the way to go :)

Hehe thnx Seffy! Im pretty chuffed! Zaph yeah I saw one young bloke from the usa on you tube who had painted his the stock red exterior colour.. I have seen the kits and one looked great in white- but for the effort and satisfaction of doing it myself I decided to wing it .. luckily it paid off lol ...

Thanks! :) I visited a local supacheap auto and there in store they mixed up spray paints, so I used acrylic, plastic adhesion promoter x 2 then aboit 4 x purple and 3 x gloss :)
