if they replaced the piston rings at the dealer to solve the oil burning then why did they feel the need to use a 15w50. i agree with Denis, 15w40 is far too thick for these engines. they should run a 5w40 fully synthetic or a 10w40 semi synthetic. this is what is recommended by every oil catalogue ...

given that the log book says it has been almost 30,000k since the last oil change it may (but would really hope not) be 15,000k over due for a service. i would run an engine oil flush through the engine with the old oil, get a reasonable semi synthetic 10w40 and change filter and oil and drive for 3...

not quite correct about the timing belt. some engines run the water pump with the timing belt, this isnt the case with a 4g93, they run the water pump off the accessory belt. most of the time to gain access to the timing belt the water pump needs to be removed for clearance reasons, and mechanics su...

im not 100% sure, but i think there is a moisture catch for the heater core that comes out the firewall above that spot. pretty sure you can see it in your 1st photo above the electrical cable going into the firewall. when the air con is used for a long time and there is a higher level of moisture i...

Yup, my13 introduced the electric steering and removal of the power steering pump. Much better and more direct feel. The oil holes above the oil filter are only on the 4b11t block I believe for the optional oil cooler that Mitsubishi offered at one point and where not put into the 4b11 and 4b12 bloc...

other issue is flashing others ecu will not help you unless you know your cars immobilizer code. if you manage to debrick your ecu by flashing the same rom id from another car youll end up with a working ecu that cant start the car because codes wont match the engine immobilizer.

Depends on the crash repairer of the other party. I got my car hit in works parking lot and the driver at fault attempted to leave unnoticed. Lucky 3 staff members and a courier saw the driver at fault do it. The damage was minor, some scratching and a graze on front of bumper. I got to chose what t...

resistors should be 18-21W i would have thought, your wanting to imitate the missing globe that the now less demanding LED's have replaced. CAMBUS looks for a load close to that of the expected globe on each of the circuits, in the case of brake and indicators this globe is 21W

white is not a hard colour to paint with providing you know what your doing and keep your work and work area dust free as possible. ive painted a few body parts for cars with rattle cans and you can hardly tell the difference.
