If the modifications cause your car to fail Mitsu have a case. That would be the only reason why I wouldn't do what I did and cut the flange off, you can replace the OEM muffler for warranty etc if need be.

Ahh right that would make sense. There is a big muffler at the back and it does look restricting. And yes, sensor relocating would be painful. Ill just have a talk to the guy at the workshop and see what he thinks, but im suspecting that he will say to do what he did to yours or just go the axle back..
