hey guys,
I emailed JapanParts about a Charge Speed Rear Bumper. Yuki from Japan Parts replied:
"I am really sorry but I can NOT really guarantee anything about the fitment onto over sea model(s) as all the parts that I sell are guaranteed for JDM (Japan Domestic Model). If you can take a shot for that, then please make an order from the site but if NOT, then I am really sorry but please do NOT make an order as I can NOT really guarantee about the fitment. Since there are no CJ models here in Japan, there is no
way to check but I'm about 80% sure that CJ and CY models are same."

Has anyone bought bodykits from Japan Parts? will this bodykit fit the CJ??
Any help would be amazing, its a lot of money for a rear bumper and I want to get it right before committing. If it has been brought up in another thread im sorry, please link me
Cheers Guys

If it is designed for an NA or RA (CY4A) car it should fit. It it is designed for an evo (CZ4A) it will definitely NOT fit.

Our chassis code is CY as Shane said. We drive CY's. The model is refered to as CJ's in Australia for some reason. Maybe they thought it sounded better, idk.
We have different designations for previous gens as well...

thanks for the info guys, appreciate it.
Shipping is 463.60 to seaport.
additionally, i was going to purchase the front skirt exactly the same as the HL2 front lip from ARS bodykit for 411.00. It will save me shipping if I get it from japan parts. however it says it comes in 2 pieces,

will i need extra fiberglassing to mold it to the front bumper??
sorry for all the questions guys.

If you use sea freight, bear in mind you will probably have to use a customs broker etc.. Might be worth investigating...

yes, being in 2 parts it will need to be joined and you may very well end up with a seam there at the join.
the $463.60 to seaport is 1 fee.
Ofey knows more about shipping fees and Duties etc, but 1 place gave me a quick run down of the different charges.
Port Service Charge A$95.00 per m3
Terminal Handling Charge A$20.00 per m3
Delivery Order A$70.00
Sea Cargo Automation A$25.00
CMR A$28.50
Security A$15.00
Delivery A$85.00 to metro area only
Fuel Levy A$14.56
Customs Clearance A$165.00
Agency A$50.00
Duty / Import GST AT COST

hmmmm this is getting really expensive haha. I new it would be expensive but thanks for opening my eyes to the REAL costs.
Im really keen on the front lip, i think the better option is to go with ARS Bodykits for the HL2 front lip and side skits. What do you think about that?

by Fitter
being that the lip is 2 pieces you will need someone with experience in plastic welding or fiberglassing to join it and hopefully without too much of a seam being evident.

You'll still have to paint them too
