Reverse Camera

Postby Hoggy » Thu Jan 29, 2009 8:50 am

All,

I am considering getting the reverse camera fitted to my car. Mitsubishi do one that is compatible with my MMCS. Does anyone have one, or seen a picture of one? The reason I ask is that they mount the camera on the boot just below the Mitsu Diamonds - am worried this will look crap, even if it does have a colour coded cap on it??

ralliartas has one installed from new - but his car is a sportback. he had some pictures up here when it got done if you do a quick search you should be able to find the thread.

it is noticeable but not obtrusive, although i am not sure how it would look on a sedan as i've never seen one.

Hi ... if you need any further pics or info, let me know ... it works very well and cost $680 fitted at the dealer ... given visibility is not he best out of the rear of the sportback, it's a great thing to have ... I can get witithin a few inces of whatever I'm reversing up to!

Cheers ....... Dan

Cheers for the help lads, the only thing I need to confirm now is where they mount it on the sedan. When I spoke to them yesterday they said under the Mitsu diamonds, but now I am thinking they assumed I had a sportsback???

it would be kool if you could mount it just under the spoiler. or on top of the spoiler and make it look like a shark fin.

I don't have a spoiler :(

Just heard from the dealer and even on the sedan they mount it under the diamonds - think it will look strange!

Why couldn't they mount it in the bumper?

Cheers for the pic, think I am going to think about it for a while. I do like my gadgets and the interior display looks great but on the sedan it is a bit ugly.
