I was just looking at these the other night. I know I can get one supplied, painted and fitted for $695 in Perth. $380 sounds a lot better :)

EDIT: What is the quality like on these? Compared to say, the X-Factor ones? (if you've seen them)

This member has one of the knock off ones. As you can see, there is no black plastic on the inside of the spoiler (oem style) - it is one coloured piece that is moulded to shape.

I have seen one up here and the quality doesn't seem too bad, but is allegedly made from a cheaper substance.

It's amazing how much quality varies between different manufacturers. Best bet is to research carefully on the forums first.

If in doubt, I've heard Shadows is one of the best (also one of our forum sponsors- convenient eh?) so you can go down that route. He can also paint it before shipping I think- check out his own subforum.

That one looks alright in the picture provided but from what I can tell, that's just an Evo X picture (i.e. not necessarily representative of what their spoiler looks like). Either that, or someone really went all out to make their CJ look just like the Evo including the exhaust tips.

I agree with Jace. That is a Mitsu picture. It may not necessarily be the exact one they sell to you. Some of these eBay sellers tend to use this technique where the part is drastically different from what you may see on another car.

You have to admit not everyone is a stickler for detail. There are people on the street who see the PMR ES Lancer and think it's an Evo. Enough said.

The one sold by X-Factor is the closest you're going to get. As Shadows mentioned it's 99.9% accurate. And as with most things in life you get what you paid for. If the price is too low it's probably too good to be true. However as I've pointed out, different people have different pockets. Just buy the best you can afford.

So caveat emptor.

Agreed here. I bought a grille for my Civic FD thinking "wow this is a bargain, only $60 rather than the $100 everyone else charges". I ended up with a bright grey (rather than black) grille, didn't fit very well because it was warped, and the mesh was chicken wire with sharp edges (i.e. it was difficult to handle). What a waste of time and money.

I ended up buying the $100 replica grille in the end and was very happy with the perfect fit and much higher quality mesh.

This member just had one fitted so maybe they could fill us in as to whether it is a proper replica or a cheap look-a-like?

I agree with Jace and ofey though, you get what you pay for. I usually opt for the higher quality "hassle free" option even if it costs a bit more. So many times I see/hear of people who go cheap and end up having to spend more than the original "expensive" option to make it work. Do it once and do it right.

I fitted the X-factor fog light rings yesterday and me and my mate were very impressed with how well they fit. Considering how affordable his products are, the quality is very impressive. If only he was in Australia so we didn't have to pay shipping! :P
