I have been looking for a larger EVO X model for a while in maybe 1:18 scale or slightly smaller but none are available yet.
Except these and they are RC, not just display models so will prob be very expensive ,esp here in Aust where we get ripped off for virtually everything compared to the USA and other countries.

I did find these sites and model range-

http://www.kyosho.com/eng/products/rc/d ... _id=104530

http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/miniz/inde ... _num=30569

http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10083082

if you click on the 3 little thumbnail pics they blow up to a nice big clear pic of the model in the last link.

The scale of these models is 1:27 from the first link.

Here are some great pics of racing modded EVO X models, If you scroll about half way down the page there is a 1:16 RC model licenced by Mitsu Motors--

Thanks for that info aussie027, ofey will be very interested to check them out.
I think the 1:43 scale is cool...
its about 9cm long and just over 4cm wide....that is a great size!
not to big and not too small...

but we will look at the others as well.

You are welcome Ozie.

That 1st link at bottom shows the car is only 16cm x 7cm x 5cm high which is still pretty damn small if you measure it out but probably an OK size for a desk display. Shame they are not just for display but RC.

I've spoken to loads of dealers regarding merchandise i.e. T-shirts, hoodies, even our diecast models and the minimum we have to start with is 100 pieces and those prices are still quite high.

With the 1/43 model of the CJ Lancer, the pricing brackets are:
USD20.00 for 100pcs
USD18.00 for 200pcs
USD15.00 for 500pcs
USD12.00 for 1,000pcs
USD10.00 for 2,000pcs or more

Even if we made 100 pcs, we need to front US$2,000. Where do you think this will come from? Also 100 pieces of the same design and same color, how do you think that will sell? Everyone wants their own color and trim level.

So before you consider what we can and cannot do, please consider that funding is IMPORTANT. So please everyone who hasn't joined us, please put A$20 into the club pot. It'll help the club grow.

Probably will be ages - Sportback arent that poular around the world, plus Evo X doesnt come in it, which seems to be the prompt to make the models in the first place, so I wont hold out.

You need to run your own business and get stuck with a 1000 pieces of diecast cars that cannot sell. We'll see if you're as hard assed then... .

Considering your need for money now to buy parts, I don't think you'll be able to stay "hard assed" for much longer... .

baby steps we are taking leaps and bounds with all these great ideas but we need to get other things out so the profits can help fund our new endeavors.

on that note good work Moderators on all your hard work getting these ideas under way

The merchandise idea is great Oz
Lets get the committee up and running so people can put ideas into action
Members need to support these ideas and join up and contribute to get a club float happening.
This club is fully NON Profit but still needs funds for operating costs
My two cents - Would love this to take off bigtime!!
