I'll ask a few random questions to get it going then :D

How would LED brake lights go brighter when you use the brake?
Would it change the output from 9v to 12v?
Same with the normal filament bulbs, but I already know they have two filaments inside of them.

Where is the sensor for auto dusk sensing headlamps? is it the same as windscreen wipers?

Why are there dots at the top center of the windscreen? Is this where there is certain materials that are not in that spot which are in the rest of the glass? (sounds stupid, but a friend told me it and im not sure of it :P)

What are the two circle hole thingo's in the front/rear bumper for?

What is the easiest way to modify MMCS to be able to use it whilst the car is in motion. Not for me to watch movies or anything stupid like that, but if I need to dial a friend with me on a cruise it is alot more convenient. and using maps, or getting passenger to enter map information.

Why does the CJ Lancer not have a bonnet that stays up by itself? (I think I've seen this somewhere before, but can't remember where.)

that's all I can really think of for now :p

It uses a little circuit inside the bulb to drop the voltage across the circuit when in TAIL mode. When STOP is needed, it bypasses this circuit.

Yes, the sensor for both is integrated into the one unit. Located in that big black thingo behind the centre rear view mirror

Don't understand what you mean...

These are the pop-out cover for the tow hook thread. There is a big screw-in tow hook located in the tool bag with the spare wheel.

There is no mod currently for the Australian MMCS. Go aftermarket if you want that functionality.

Saves cost and complexity. For the amount of times you need to open the bonnet, is it really necessary, seriously?

that's all I can really think of for now :p

You're welcome.

Ok here is a question for a few of you. This might be beyond a lot of you however, no offense of course.

ok, so in the May 08 onwards, the Lancer got extra sound deadening... Does anybody know the Option Code for this stamped under on the build plate (underside of bonnet)

Ideally, if 2 identical lancers (one pre-may 08 and one post-May 08) posted all the codes, one would have one different, and that would give me an answer.

Kthx.

(And yes, something I do not know! :P)

Well, i got a question aswell. Since i went out and looked at my car for adrian, i found that it was a MAY08 Build. Does that mean i have the extra sound deadening?

Only thing i saw under my bonnet that seemed weird was

60X M20

Just had other random stuff but didnt have anything else that seemed obvious as an option code

Thanks Tadz, that is a start.

Reason I am asking is, I have had a talk with another CJ owner on a news blog site (random I know) and he has a May08 build and reckons his inside noise is really loud. Now I have compared my VRX with another MY09 back-to-back and the MY09 is sooo much quieter.

Honestly, even though mine is a may08 build, i honestly dont think it has extra sound deadening. Like, it was still bad enough to make me want to sound deaden my wheel wells.

So lancers made in MAY08 have the extra sound deadening or...?

Well that's what we all were told at the time... Unless it was AFTER May 08 ie June onwards?

This is what I'm trying to work out...

Which is exactly what i did, i took a picture of the pannel on my passenger door because it said 'option' anyway

Maybe this will answer you question....

Image

If you cant read it, it says

E10 D02 K03

That what you were after? I can take a pic of the under hood one aswell if you need it

Champion, thanks. I think they are the codes I'm looking for. The one under the bonnet is slightly different.

Now I know that those with Rockford have te R09 letters there... I remember that specifically from when I was buying my car. But that is the only one I remember :(
