If only that screen was on the new lancers instead :( Not too much I can see that is different.. maybe a bit more chrome here and there

But sound insulation? = more weight!

all MY10 Lancers got extra deadening. And the Evo has actually lost weight according to that article, thanks to different plastics or something

Inside, a new full-colour multi-function LCD display in the centre of the instrument cluster replaces the existing screen, bringing more functions at the same time.


I've been envious of this for a long time :(

LOL... good to see people read TMR :P

Yes, it seems even with extra sound deadening that the EVO has lost weight :) perhaps that would mean faster times?

I've been a TMR reader since it first started!!! They used to copy articles off Autoblog almost word for word, and use the same pictures! Thank goodness times have changed!

Everyone has to start somewhere I guess :)

Anyway, they are apparently the fastest growing Aussie Independent Motoring journal/blog/review website, which is a good thing :) They have very balanced views imo.

How do I know about it? Tony O'Kane is a friend of mine :) He's the senior writer :) He brought around the HSV R8 the other day - what a beast!

It wouldn't be much. The main addition is the insulated windscreen.

Road noise is helped greatly by different tyres more than anything :) I'd know, I have a 2007 build ie bugger all deadening :lol:

Ah.. so they've switched the tyres? Good to hear...

To be honest My 09 doesn't really sound that much better than an 07... only on the highway you can tell a slight difference.
