In my RA i have a sunroof. It has the mitshubishi logo stamped on the glass.
Problem is the rubber around the glass has gone all crazy crackers in it.
In my recent server i told em to replace it. Now there saying its not a genuine sunroof? FFS this dealership is giving me the shits. Its not been cut in as the roof metal is stamped. Is there a way to tell by a vin number check on the mitshubishi data base or something. Cos come friday iam going to rip this service adviser punk and new hole

That's strange.
Most dealerships would love to do a warranty replacement.
Means money in their pocket and practice for their junior mechanics.
Surely your sales receipt can prove that its a genuine sun roof?

iam thinking this fella has no idea. First is didn't know anything about the sst transmission or what it costs to to a service on em plus he rambled on about torque converter in my sst transmission.
He's a knob and will be dealt with 2morow morning

That all sounds very strange. I can only think the dealer means Mitsubishi do not make the sunroof but rather get it from a supplier.
Can you take some pictures of the rubber seal that needs replacing so the rest of us with sunroofs know where to look for possible defects?

When I had my sunroof replaced (glass was smashed) Mitsubishi wouldn't install the new one I had to do it myself. $660 for the sunroof. Check your sales docket should state Sun and Sound pack.

all sorted. Its a strange one. The sun roof was fitted at the factory. so when it was being built the installed the sun roof . But thing is its no showing on the vin number check

Either a clerical error or it wasn't meant to have one and they accidentally fitted it, or fitted it to meet an order then.
Pretty sad the guy said no despite the fact its covered in mitsu logos. He obviously doesn't try very hard at his job.
