ok well i connected it all up, but i need confirmation that this is all that need to be connected.. and the ribbon cable is connected too.

also ground cable is connected as you can see at the top..

OK, the plugs look fine, but I'm a bit worried about the earth wire.

It's hard to see, but it looks as though you've connected to ground to a screw where the plastic part of the dash is.

You want to contact with a metal on metal connection. A metal bolt that is part of the chassis or body.

Will take a pic of an example to show you later.

Where did you connect the earth wire?
Should I connect it to the metal part of the chassis?

Yeah Denzza, grab a torch and look inside under where the HU would sit. There's a couple of 10mm bolts. You will have to use a socket and extension to unscrew one of them. That's where I put the ground for mine.
