EOI - ClubCJ winter clothing

Postby The X » Sun May 12, 2013 11:38 am

Background
The colder months are nearly upon us, so it's time to look at getting some ClubCJ.net winter apparel produced. At this stage, I'm looking to get a one off run of winter hoodies.

Design Ideas
If you have some designs in mind, including those from the t-shirt thread, I'll start another thread so we can all discuss the design options. Please see this thread http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=14226 for discussions on designs.

Interested in one?
What I want at this stage in this thread is serious expressions of interest if you're a keen to buy. I'd rather not have a heap of people say yes and only a third end up buying as it just makes nailing down a final total price all the much harder. I'll ask for firm commit to buy later, once we have decided on what garment type and what printed designs will be final.

Delivery Schedule
Hopefully we can fast track this and have them out the door by middle of June at the latest, so I'll be pushing this hard to get designs in and decisions made quickly.

Cost
The anticipated cost of each hoodie will be in the $30-40 mark. However this may change depending on numbers, garment quality. These will be provided at cost to all forum members.

Full paid premium members would get a discount off the final cost, however until we know costings, we can't advise you what that discount may be. I don't want to set expectations before we know what this will cost us in total.

Garment Styles
Only looking at the following as an EXAMPLE (as we have not decided on supplier or producer yet)....

The following styles are the possible options, we have full zipped and non-zip - they both come in regular or super heave fleece. Decision is whether we go for "Regular" or "super heavy".

I'm thinking of two styles of hoodie so we can keep things simple and production costs to a minimum.
A heavy set (thicker) one with a zip up front and an alternate version which would be a lighter "throw on" hoodie with no zip.

Colour Options
I'm thinking we limit ourselves to maybe 3 colours that will look "okay" with the graphics - maybe black, white, blue.
At the very least black and white. Of course might have to limit it to a couple of styles, as I said to keep production costs down. Perhaps with a front only, or dual front and back print?

Suppliers
Currently I have a couple of leads for producers and suppliers, however if anyone has had past experience with getting such promotional items made up, please PM with details and I'll get in touch with you to find out more on quality, etc.

Other items
Some in the committee have suggested beanies and scarves. I'm not sure what level of appeal these items may have and if we can get sufficient numbers to make them viable without being too costly. So please advise your thoughts or suggestions.
