I was talking to mate about performance stuff, and came across that Stock Evo X cams are a straight fit into the 4B11 motors but abit ifft on the 4B12.

They claim that that few people have done it with no dramas and say gained 10-20kws from it.

Now, i dont know if thats true! But i dont know anyone it Australia thats done it!

Heres some forums where i found it. What do you guys think ?

It doesn't seem right to me.

If you were going to all that trouble then I'd get a specific custom ground cam with valve springs to suit.

And then you'd want a tune for sure.

I did have a lot of success with 2 chiptorque cam and tune kits on a different car.

This is a lot of work though, twin cam motor lots of valves.

You would definitely need a retune by Beeble if you put in Evo X cams. It's not a straighforward change.

@ofey, reading through the thread, did you end up taking up McCoy's offer?

Nope.
No longer modding my car really.
Since paying for Evoque, am now saving for my next car.

The Evoque is the wife's.
I haven't even driven it.
I don't want to actually.
Know how people feel when they drive a car far better than their own?
turbo diesel really goes... .
