Wakefield Track Day

Postby bd-850 » Sat Nov 07, 2009 7:49 pm

ok so it was an early start for my all i can say it was well worth it. i met Peanut at McDonalds where he led me to the track where i met the rest of the guys. (and Stacy when she rocked up).

it was alot of fun watching all the guys race around the track, even with a fre black flags flying (dont worry it wasnt our guys). With Chris taking one of the corners just a little too wide on the first couple of laps made us hold our breath. With Chris his car would just slip on by without a sound, except for the nice sucking sound of his induction and Peanut, well you knew where he was on the track all the time.

We had a great sit down at luch and swaping past stories and getting to know each other.

it was a great day and i hope to come along to more cruises and meet more of you.

(most of my photos are crap but here are some + my 2 sets of batteries went flat)

And here's even more. I took a few hundred but some of them aren't CCJ cars or aren't the best

Thanks to Tenchi for fiddling with my camera a bit.

Forgot to add, as i was leaving i got pulled over for a RBT, the copper was really nice and asked what these things go like (the VRX) so i just said really good up to the speed limit of course, his reply was ahh good, so whats it like past the speed limit, i was like WTF do i answer or not, but we had a bit of a laugh and said yeah really good ive hit 1?? (better not say on the forum) and he just smiled and said " on a race track of course" ummm yeas of course. he was asking because they are getting a few Mitsubishi's for cop cars and some EVOs for the highway.

very nice copper and funny, so i think that moment just made my day

Lookin good :D Pity I couldn't make it :(

Yeah Cops are starting to use Lancers. Around my area they use CJ Lancers. I was pulled over at an RBT station setup in Wahroonga a while back and they were checking out my car and saying, "hey it's one of the new lancers!" etc.
