Are we still happy with this route? I'd personally like to finalize details regarding the tablelands roads. As I just had my wedding and honeymoon up there I spent a fair bit of time exploring some of the nicer roads so Im sure I could find the best routes around there. Ravenshoe and the wind farm is pretty cool especially on dusk.

Apart from that, instead of going to port Douglas, do we want to sort of go south a bit more so the guys from Brissy and Mackay don't have to come so far up?

The only real reason I was thinking PD was you cant come up here without experiencing the range roads and Julatten and Coast Ranges are two of the best three. Kuranda is the 2nd best but thats just complicating things lol.
But meh.
Yeah man, plan a route through the tablelands, please! I dont know the area all too well, I just prefer cruise driving up there to down here.

Guys coming from Mackay, etc. ignore the first bit from Cairns to Innisfail. I'm proposing we all meet in Innisfail at like 9am, and go from there. There might be a few lancer owners who aren't on these forums who'd probably be keen.

Also, I'm happy to stop along the way and check out the Milaa Milaa waterfalls and other scenic things that we may find.

We'd also stop at maybe Port Douglas or Julatten for a bit of lunch.
The whole circuit takes about 6 hours 15 minutes without stopping (people not coming from Cairns can trim off 1 hour 15 minutes). I think we'd make a pretty good day of it all.

Plan for Mackay crew is to Drive up at around 5-6 AM, so we migh get there at mybe 2-3 pm!
I will need to know if you can organise the accomodation, how much will be etc, so i can give heads up to people who want to come how much they will looking to spend in this trip

Sure man. Accomm will be in Cairns not Innisfail, so the route will change slightly but that's cool. I'll give Angelo a ring tomorrow and find out the details.

Might say Mackay ppl travel up on the 9th then? So they travel up on 9th, stay the night in Cns, everyone meets on the 10th and big cruise, then whatever on the Sat night (show, dinner, club, whatever) and then photo sesh on the 11th before they cruise homewards?

Even if we all did the photoshoot in the 9th. A little warm up before the cruise the next day. make a BBQ out of it or something ya know.
