NQ - 10/03/12 - Celebratory North QLD cruise. :)

Open to all members from all states, but its gonna be in NQL so I understand if a couple of Perth members can't make it

I get my license back on Tuesday 6 March 2012... and I also will (hopefully) have finished installing all the mods I'll be buying between now and then

I'm gonna have a completely new car, on the exterior anyway.

So - I wanna do a celebratory cruise on Saturday 10 March 2012. Same route I was GOING to do a cruise for on the 25th July if I didnt get bashed and hospitalized the day before (yay);

From Cairns, head south to Palmerstone Hwy, meet up with all members coming from Tville somewhere around Innisfail.
Head up Palmerstone, cruise through Tablelands, find decent place for lunch - BYO BBQ.
Head down the Julatten Range Road, stop in Port Douglas for a bit.
Port Douglas Range Road towards Cairns.
Quick up/down the Kennedy Hwy Range Road (maybe?).
Celebrate in Cairns with dinner and a show (Sam Powers - Xtreme Illusions - where I work.)
before
a) cruising home (probably an option for Tville members, although you might want to leave before dinner...idk)
b) overnighter in Cairns, clubbing, casino maybe.

OOo that sounds awesome. Always up for a reason to travel up north tehehehe. Plenty of notice to organize it too awesome stuff

Mind if I invite a mate of mine up there who also owns a CJ?

Hmm! Intresting but 8 hours (16 all up) drive seems a bit too much for me!
Let's make it half way in Townsville and i will be able to bring with me the NQ AMC too!

Great to see interest straight away! And an Ipswich member too! Ripflare - by all means, as many people as possible, i don't care what they drive!

Seb, put some effort in mate, next time Tville, then Mackay, then Bris - I'm going to try and get to as many as possible in QLD in the next couple of years! I've given as much notice as possible so organisation shouldnt be a factor.

Come on Seb I'll be staying in Mackay as well as thats where most my family is based. So if you want to cruise up together make the journey a bit more fun.

Wahoo! looks like a Triple Cruise - group cruise up the coast, big group cruise around Cairns inc dinner show and clubbing, group cruise (again) down the coast! better bring plenty of memory cards.... lol. My best mate is on these forums (craigeth), drives a Gunmetal 09 Sportback Activ Lancer and is also a professional photographer with his own company, Twenty Three Frames, so I'm sure I'll be able to persuade him to come

I'm happy to drive yours for a LITTLE bit (when I get my license back) as long as I dont lose my license again lol. Film from my car or something.

I'm sure we could also organise a full day photo/film on the Sunday for those staying up overnight? Perhaps stay 2 nights and cruise back down the coast on the Monday or something.

Lol yeah may be a bit hard lol. The two days sounds good. I'd be up for that. My thinking was to make it a holiday any way since it will be a lot of driving just getting there and back for one weekend. Was already thinking to go up to Carins the day before the cruise and book a hotel for a couple days and then cruise back down to Mackay and stay for a bit before heading home. Still working out the kinks. Looking forward to it now

Sounds great. If anyone needs accommodation in Cairns let me know. My mate who just bout an Evo X runs a motel here so should be able to work out some cheaper rates.
