I couldnt see you getting that kind of mileage unless you are using the higher octane fuels and even then...thats more up towards country travel than city... How odd... Anyone else report they can get around 700kms out of a tank with their car?

Yeah well.. I don't really drive that spirited. Lol. That's the weird thing though shouldn't get that much but I've gone ..114 km so far after filling up on the weekend and the fuel bar still hasn't gone down.

Doesn't Mark get about 600ish out of his?

EDIT: I actually just realized that it's only happened a couple of times when I never got in traffic jams; on average about 600-650. My mistake! I drive on the Port Expressway every single day and take a route that doesn't really have traffic jams (or as little as possible). Still good though!

Mines been like that for ages I've just never got around to getting it fixed, as per usual with everything for me...
Once asked mitsi when I was getting a service. They said they can update the ecu, which worked for like a month. They said there's a couple of extra services they can do, can't exactly remember what but they were basically cleaning out certain parts. Think one was a fuel leads clean or something but I was too stingy to pay the extra $160 and they couldn't garentee it would help, although I would have spent more then that on the extra fuel by now...
Our cars r supposed to use like 8lts/100km, so being a 59lt tank we should easily get 600kms. I think my car thinks she's a v8!

Yeah something might be up with it? :/

And kinda sucks how they didn't include those things in the major service.. would've been really good to.

i get somewhere between 650km and 720kms.
I make sure to fill mine up to the brim.

You need to shift every gear perfectly every time.
idling in traffic or at the lights is the worst offender.

i drive 25kms to work and i cruise at 60kph the whole way at 4 am :p
along as i don't stop or have to slow down i get great fuel economy.
if i am not a lead foot my tank of fuel can last me a 14 trips to work and back and still have 2 something liters left.

I dont remember which Sydney servos do straight 91 and which do a E10 cut.

But thinking about that, if you had a tank of 91 octane petrol, (91RON by default) and you then added 10% ethanol, it would no longer be 91 octane.
It should have a higher RON.

So, is an E10/91 still 91RON or something higher?

or, did they start with a lower octane fuel, add the 10% ethanol, and end up with 91RON fuel. Kinda makes you wonder.

I don't know if it has been changed but a while back the nsw govt made it mandatory that all servos had e10, after a grace period, this was usually at the expense of normal 91. I think they may have stopped that legislation but not after pretty much all servos had converted tanks for e10.
