out of those three I'd get the XR6T.

Probably because it's the fastest and can do skidz.

Next would be the RColt because it looks like it would be fun to drive and is rare to see.

The Mazda MPS goes hard, but if I was going to get a turbo car I'd prefer AWD or RWD.

Personally, I'd be looking at an R34 GTT, maybe an STi or a Supra.
Theres a hot R33 GTST for sale in WA which has 405hp for 22k too... keen :P

VW golf GTI if the MPS is an option. Maybe even the XR5?

There are plenty more options if you are willing to dive deeper into the second hand market.

Focus XR5T? (166kW)

The new Renault Clio Sports are pretty nice and very uncommon. (147kW)

Civic Type R (eww)

My first choice would be MPS for the look.

XR6T for performance.

Colt RA is too small.

But yeah. Just go for the one YOU WANT THE MOST

then there's no regret :D
Lancer -> Accord Euro -> M3

Performance car under 35k... Na. Depends what you consider 'performance'.

However, there is a kit car AU made that is a replica of that Shelby concept car a few years ago. The convertable one. Made in Adelaide or Melbourne. Its a turn-key kit built off a BA chassis and hooked up to either choice of turbo 6 or v8. Rarer than hens teeth and looks nice. The kits start at I think 32k

As you have a year, maybe wait till the Alfa Romeo Mito GTA comes out.

Or if you not worried about the bogun tag, get a ute.

---

Second hand though, unlimited. Audi S3, sleeper performance and very few of them here. Nice sound too. Or for ultimate rarity, an MG ZT220s; last one I saw on the market was around 28k. Supercharged V8, nice looks but absolutely shocking interior. Bastards withdrawing MG from AU. Even the MG ZS, or the ZR if any came here before they pulled out. Lancer sized car with supercharged V6

On your list, I'd really go for the RA Colt if you're looking to do more to it i.e. aftermarket modding. If you just want to buy and leave it with small tweaks here and there, go for the MPS... .

Mine is a well known : Audi S4. If only I had enough... .

I have always been a fan of the Celica's especially the last series made - ZZT model. You can get one for around 11k.

Also, the Hyundai equivalent - The Tiburon

Or wait for their next generation coupe to come to Australia - The Hyundai Genesis coupe.
