Got mine scheduled for the recall fix this Friday. They said it's going to take 30 mins and I can just wait for it.

I'll get on to them in the morning but if the last recall for the drive belts is any guide odds are the dealer probably doesn't even know about it yet.
Edited - just looking at the other thing and mine might be on that list too... could be a long day to get it checked when booked in. Wonder how long parts will take to come in and if they become short of supplies like the drive belt issue?
Btw, just wondering. What happened back then with the Drive Belt issue and if you have the list of affected VINs? just got my drive belt replaced and read this news about drive belt recall

It was more than just the belts on some cars, could also involve the pullies and other parts, I'd get it checked and if you just got the the belts done at a dealer ask them for a refund or if they did them.

My Aspire needs the indicator wiring loom greased/lubed to prevent corrosion.
Hardly worth it in my opinion as my car is garaged at night and always have the windows shut when driving so it's very unlikely to have a problem.

Still worth doing but maybe just get it done at the next service?
Mine is also garage most nights but I'd rather it was taken care of then have a problem.

Went and seen local mitsi for my wifes car and it only needs the stalk looked out, etacs isnt coming up on the recall list

Just back from the recall service. Just to recap, mine's an early MY10 Lancer Sportback.
Took 3.5 hours for the following from the service invoice :
Despite the above item 2 (grease only), the turn/light stalk actually looks new i.e. clean and shiny compared to the wiper/washer one. If the service sheet didn't say just a grease was done, I'd think the turn/light stalk was a new one. Maybe they Armor All'ed it but not the other
Not unexpectedly, the battery disconnect for the process resulted in a reset of the MMCS and so radio station memories were lost along with a few settings. Back to the manual to figure out how to set things up again

2. Applied specified grease to the connector pins of both the turn/light and wiper/washer switches.

Done my Lancer this morning, it was a 40 mins work for me.
When I drove in the Service Manager was already on standby and took my car to the service area immediately while I looked around and had a cup of latte.
After the service, I can feel that the switch becomes more rigid and more "clicky".
On additional note: I requested a full recall checklist for my Lancer, and apparently the previous owner had done the drive belt and pulley one.
Not sure why I got the stretched drive belt issue then.. So I recommend you to ask for the same recall checklist and double check the drive belt.

Personally I think when you book a car in for a dealer service they should run the VIN to check if there is anything outstanding and do the work during the service.

Yup, make sense. But my Lancer had an issue with a stretched Drive Belt couple of weeks ago, therefore I just want to double check if it's related with the previous recall and if the previous owner had it done.

It's pretty common practice in other dealers, I know we did that at Mazda as long as the owner approved us keeping the vehicle a little longer. I'm not sure about Mitsu's policies though.

I know Nissan doesn't do it, I know someone who has a Pulsar which came up an Air Bag issue on recall, they didn't do a thing until the owner specifically asked. Maybe some car makers are better than others?

And very surprised that Nissan doesn't do it. I believe it's mandatory by ACCC for car maker informing its customer reg recalls. Maybe it's differ from each dealership, but I think company wise they should do it.
