Sportback Rear Fog light (Done) Unlock Switch (Done)
After countless google searches on wiring the rear fog light on my sportback, today I had a win I found the pin out on the etacs and wired in the rear fog light so it goes on with the second twist of the fog light switch and the light shows up on the display, also wired in a door unlock button so when the doors are locked (it's set to lock at 20klm) and I need to open them when I stop I can now unlock them with the push of a button, very happy with myself, I've had the rear fog light for around 3 years or so and now it's working. probably never need to use it but at least it works.

Re: Sportback Rear Fog light (Done) Unlock Switch (Done)
Some photos would be nice.
I've been considering one of the F1 style centre fog light to attach to my towbar when not towing, remove the tongue and wire it up to the trailer plug. Al though this requires me getting a towbar first but I plan on doing that early in the new year.
Or is it better to just get the illuminated fog lights that replace the reflectors and wire them up?

This is a link to the plug on the etacts the light green wire on the top row is the wire I have added that gives power to the rear fog light.
bit it must be activated in the etacs to work.

When do the rear fog lights come on?
I was only planing to wire them up to the parkers and brake, some of the F1 style have 2 light levels so low for parkers and full when on the brakes. Ideally any fog lights would be like the DRLs, wired up to come on when you start the car and on all the time to.

they will come on when you turn the fog light switch twice, first turn front fog light comes on. second turn rear come on, then same in reverse turn back once rear go off second turn front go off.
and rear fog light symbol shows up on dash when they are on.

Nice to know, but where/who do we get to change the ETACS?
The switch I have is on the stalk on my VRX.

You need to connect via the OBD port and turn on the rear fog in the etacs

Yes but you need to know what you're doing and have a OBDII lead, I have a bt one that connects to my head unit but it can't change any settings.
So with there was an app for this!

I have a cable that connects to my laptop and a program that edits the etacs

So is this fog light part of the rear taillights or are they the one located where there is a cutout/blank in the centre of the rear bar on the sportback?? Like this one?? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-Lancer-CX-A-2008-2015-Lancer-SPORTBACK-EUR-Rear-tail-fog-lamp/272950822284?epid=623617573&hash=item3f8d23058c:g:fy0AAOSw4A5Ywv5E

The sportsback rear fog light is fitted in the centre of the rear bumper in some other countries. You just remove that section and fit the light and wire it in. I believe it's the same light used in Pajero's
