Yep, as soon as I decide on the engraving area (ie finalise position of the stripes and the final shape of the product) I will provide a blank rectangular .BMP file that ppl can work on and send back to me - or if you have a font and text in mind or a simple black/white logo it may be possible under the custom category, but depending on difficulty of course will cost more/less ;-)

Eg. if all u want is 4 stripes that may be even cheaper...

oh yeah - that what u meant? i was thinking I'll provide a blank rectangle for u to put a logo/text in and then u send it back to me and I can custom engrave it... but use tadz's pic here if u wanna test something out in photoshop, excuse the resolution, it's a small pic, i used the OEM pics - lol... (shhh! :-P)

it's only a render - I'd rather wait till I actually have a real live one (u know what I mean) and take a few hi-res snaps mate - little quiter at work at the moment so more chance of getting it done ;-)

no use ppl placing orders before i figure everything out -

Another idea - I can easily sandblast these too, so people can have the option between a matte-sandblasted finish or a polished aluminium finish... Both should look great in their own way. These are just aluminium so won't be indestructable, but if u don't go grinding stones into them should be right ;-)

Howdy guys,

Would love 2 customs for the front and 2 standards (just lines) for the back if this offer is available to all members. I was quoted $190 for OEM stainless so anything cheaper would be cool.

I did up a quick 3 minute Paint pic on something that I would be interested in. I`m not looking for a price atm JazzyB but thought if it was going to be an extra $20 for some extra writing then it may be worth the bit extra.

Image

I have purposely NOT used the Lancer and ClubCJ font for fear of sticking my head up in the copyright shooting gallery. (I`m continually asking fly-by-nighters to take my copyrighted pictures OFF their product descriptions in fleabay)

I hope I`m not stepping on any toes by posting this pic either.

Tadz, I saw your post on newbies using the group buy system and I agree with you but I am the type of person who will buy things just after purchasing the car (and joining a club) so I will apologize now for seeming a bit eager :)

Cheers

It's ok man ;-) We like noobs with pics etc, who like to put in more than a request for quote - ur safe ;-)

And I felt a little strange using the OEM lancer pics too - I know what u mean... but I think it all depends on your intentions and you'd be quite welcome to post up clubCJ logo's on this forum ;-)

and yes, additional/custom text like you have posted will not likely break the bank ;-) it's if someone wants 3d engraving like on a coin I'd have to charge a few 100 ;-)
(but for those that r keen it may be possible ;-))

Prototype is finished :-)

Please not that this one's been handled quite a bit and I'm NOT going to let any through the door with scratches/marks - this is only a sample.

The top pic shows 1 left and 1 right plate. The right plate (top) is a brushed finish and the left (bottom) is polished to a mirror finish (you can check how clean ur teeth are in it - it's VERY shiny!

I'm going to point out the polished finish WILL most likely show scuff marks, I am going to make these for myself though since I rarely if EVER actually scuff my car ;-) they're purely for looks (and to protect your paintwork from scuffs of course!) and in my opinion the polished look a stack better - but the brushed look great too and won't be as obvious if they get scratched (plus a quick run over with some steel wool or that green stuff (my mind's a blank right now) oh! scouring pad ;-) should return them to virtually new if they do get scratched/scuffed)

I'm looking into some sort of coating for the polished ones so they resist harsh use a little better. More info on that if I find something.

The bottom pic shows the polished front left scuff plate mounted on Tadz0rz' Lancer - It's mounted using standard double-sided automotive tape. Not much else to say bout this pic, I can't wait to get some perfect, final ones up to show you guys :-)
