You have a smart key. Your car has proximity sensors in it to ensure that the keys are not locked inside. Cars with a conventional key do not have these sensors.

Generally with a conventional key you would lock it pressing the button on the key which means almost zero chance of locking your keys in the car.

If going for a non electronic key, you would need to lock the car the old fashioned way, and putting the key in the door lock :lol:
