EOS 450D is a potent camera! If you buy any more lenses, really, really save up and buy something f2.8 or better (like an f1.2). Even if you don't go for astronomically large telephoto or rediculous fish eye.... just buy a fixed 35mm or 50mm lens, but in f1.2 or f1.4
That way, you will have the best possible light input...
I hear all these people saying how they bought two or three lenses for the price of one of my 35mm f1.2 ($2300), stating I must have been ripped off... they certainly don't know photography.

I sold cameras for about 6 years. I am not a fantastic photographer, but can appreciate the price difference. I have heard all the crap stories...
My 8mp $150 camera is better than that $400 6mp camera etc etc....
People don't understand the different factors that determine the cost and quality of a good lens.
I will get a new lens eventually, even if I have to pick one up 2nd hand. I figure it craps over compact cameras etc. The best investment was the remote and $20 tripod though!!!

Yeah, buy lenses second hand, there are loads of excellent full-frame lenses that will fit your APS-C sensor and there shouldn't be any chromatic aberration (even with the fuller framed lenses).
I have an APS-C and full-frame (harder to use the DX (smaller focussing) lenses on the full-frame etc...
I love the specs on the 450D, its the equivalent of my D200 (but check out the price difference!!!! Wow, so much cheaper!) Canon really have there poop in one sock!
