Public Announcement : Regarding the sale of Clubcj.net

Background

In light of recent events, the owner of the domain clubcj.net has made a proposal to sell the club and all its intellectual property to a willing buyer

On the night of 26 September, this proposal was put across to the membership. The quoted price has been A$4,000.00.

For those who were not online tonight, there is no point questioning the validity of the valuation nor questioning the intent of the owners. It is a decision made by them. We have been granted the time to work through a set of discussions and scenarios of how we can move forward from this point.

The current committee of CCJ and those who have contributed significantly to the growth of the club will be consulted in the first instance to formulate some stratagies of how we can keep this friendship and club going forward. Further, the premium members of the club will also be given an opportunity to vote on what we will decide to do with regards to the sale of this club. At the same time, the non-premium membership who are also a part of this club will be given an opportunity to contribute their thoughts to the process.

As all of you can appreciate, this is another step the club has to take in its chequered history thus far. In the meantime, I would urge all club members not to further probe what will be done. It will take some time for us to put up the relevant polls and discussion sections in the week to come, so please bear with us in this period of transition.
