Looking for OEM Front bumper (Fit ES)

Postby Carl-BVI » Wed Aug 08, 2012 8:29 pm

Hey everyone!

Anyone know a good reputable website that sells a replacement front bumper to fit my ES? OR a ralliart or EVO bumper that will fit?

Had a bit of an accident.

Found this website that internationally post and look reputable. Any thought would be GREAT!

Thankyou!

Both the photos in the first image are of half the bumper that has been mirrored to look like the entire bumper... :?

You would also need all the grilles and badges, and need it painted. I imagine shipping isn't cheap either.
Also depending on how you damaged the bumper you might have broken some other things like clips around it.

Why aren't you claiming it on insurance?

White if possible or i can get it painted.

Not covered, Sort of my own fault when i bought the car. + Never claimed before and never tried, maybe ill look into it.

AND you were right about shipping, that website just quoted me $1200 just for shipping, RIDICULOUS!

Why don't you tell us what you're willing to pay?
Please don't say cheapest possible.

I could say I want an Evo X wing in CF for A$150 or an Evo X Bumper bar painted for A$250.
Those are unrealistic values.

An OEM Evo front bumper will NOT fit directly onto your ES. Only an OEM RA one will.
The Evo copies aftermarket will.

Most aftermarket front bars come Unpainted , some even come UnPrimed. Painting alone is a A$250 exercise (at least).

You won't find them wrecked either since cars are only realistically wrecked when it's a head on smash.

So what's the ball park you're looking to be paying?
Beeble tooned MY08 OEd. w/ RA BKit+SWheel
Cosworth Panel Filter w/ RA Intake | SuperCircuit 4-2-1 Headers | Creat’d Ti-tipped SS exhaust
BC BR-type Coilovers | UR + Whiteline Bars
EBC GreenStuff Pads | RDA Rotors

Well! i have been to 2 smash repair place's to see if i can repair my bumper BUT because of the "Excessive amount of sikaflex"(Due to a dodgy installation of my front lip) apparantly its un-repairable, SO i got a quote from Bear's for a re-conditioned OEM bumper for 700$ fitted. So what do you think about that?

Sikaflex comes off with turpentine........

Mate i have tried so much, Even got one of those caramel wheels which just rips my paint off,

The sika-flex is on THICK about 1.5cms high all the way accross the bumper.
do you think turpentine will remove it with that density?
