If you can make it AWD you can make it RWD. I think that'd be more fun, more of an enthusiasts car for those that don't have the money/circumstances for a ralliart/evo.
I wouldn't 'expect' it to even come here but if it does, it better have the 2.4L, otherwise it will certainly be the slowest lancer model in Australia.
However spend a bit of money on it... It'll probably be more rewarding because you'll be able to actually use any extra power you get out of your car. Our cars are pretty light, more torque and coilovers etc would be a very exciting machine.
Hopefully people don't get sucked in by 'moar wheels is bettuh', unless they have a plan for the car
