No new style. It's the same ones on the car. Look at the first post.

Looks good, except as much as I really would like to get a set. I'm going to hold off for those OEM style looking LED tail lights.

Maybe you should look into getting them ofey? Im sure there is a bunch of people who are interested in getting that style instead.

Many thanks for the work you do. ^_^

Ofey, are these the same taillights installed on your lancer, as per the pics in your garage page?

Yeah they are the same ones on Ofey's car.

In fact, the Grey one in the first post IS Ofey's car..... lmfao.

Ofey, you just gonna keep this going til you sell all 9 sets? If so - how much delivery to me? Roughly. I might be able to put the money aside in a couple of weeks...

edit: just saw the word "delivered" >.<. I'm gonna put aside $100/wk Ofey but don't hold one for me - if you sell all 9 by then I will understand, no big deal. On the other hand, if you still have one in 4 weeks time, I'll take it :D

Yes each to their own. I just find the OEM style more appealling. It looks like any other, but has a unquie twist to it, in that it's LED lights. I prefer discretion instead of flamboyant mods, that yells out "oi, you over there, look at me". Hence why I've not changed much of the exterior of my car, but slowly changing its insides.

But that's just me. ^_^

Just so everyone is aware about all the aftermarket LED Tail Lamps, I thought I should slap this together.

There are altogether 4 clearly diffferent aftermarket LED Tail Lamps for Sedans.
To the best of our knowledge, None have been made for Sportbacks.

Now the first to hit the market are those most cars here have:

1. Copy of Lancer iO in Taiwan
So based on a Mitsubishi design for the Taiwan Domestic Market which looked like this:
Image

This was produced:
Image

Made in Taiwan, these have gone through the following price points (delivered pricing):
A$777 @ launch, A$440 (1st Group Buy), A$370 (2nd Sale), A$330 (currently)

- The initial batches had a problem with a Check Engine Light due to them not having a load resistor built into the brake light circuit.

- We were the first forum to solve this problem for about 60cents by putting in a ceramic 130 Ohm 5W resistor
The current batch has been corrected and this is no longer the case.

-These are legally E-marked for the Chrome and Smoked designed. There have been reports that the E-mark for the Blacked out version is not legal. The manufacturer bowed to customer demand for it. E-marks are inherent in the mould for the lens, how the manufacturer decides to tint the lens, that's another matter altogether, so caveat emptor.

2. Copy Audi Tail Lamp
So based on the Audi Tail Lamp concept:
Image,

This got made up by a company in China:
Image

Price points delivered for these have been between A$500 -> A$335 (currently)
- No known problems with the set.

3. Copy of OEM Tail Lamp (but with LEDs)
So based on the original Lancer Tail Lamp:
Image

Another Taiwanese company (Depo) formulated these:
Image

Price points A$400 -> A$355 (delivered)

- No known problems

4. Copy of (Copy of Lancer iO in Taiwan)
So The Chinese can copy anything right? They've copied a copy.

ImageImage

Sorry no pictures of them on cars though a VIC member R4sty has them on his ride.

Price points (delivered) : A$280 -> A$320
- No known Problems

Thanks heaps ofey, your post makes it much easier for people shopping for aftermarket taillights like myself. A quick question, is the installation simple as plug+play, i.e. no soldering involved?
